mhm I ridiculously wholeheartedly love and enjoy The Vampire Diaries. My enjoyment is not based on irony unlike certain pieces of media I somewhat stan for, so it sort of hurts when I can easily predict what happens to the few minority characters that pop up on the program. If you are minority extra, you pretty much end up as vampire food which is not chic at all. If you are minority secondary character, you pretty much have only one choice. If you are black, you are mostly going to be a witch working under a white vampire for whatever reason and end up dead sooner rather than later. If you are Asian—well, we only go two Asian characters so far and they worked pretty independent from the Salvatores and, y’know, Klaus but they still ended up dead.
That’s not cute, Vampire Diaries. I rather deal with Damon’s Man Pain on weekly basis than see yet another POC end up dead your show, and I really passionately hate Damon. (Also, your fandom is sort of racist unfunny hot mess, but that is a story for another night.)
Hey remember that time I reblogged that photo of a black man on fire with a lyric from a song about domestic abuse from an abuser’s point of view. It had 500 notes and people thought it was really funny. Yea, that was ten minutes ago. Sometimes I look back and smile because it was so funny and not racist at all!!!
Hey show, you should fix this. Really. How is it that every poc that has become involved has died? Except for Bonnie? HOW??????? This seems strange. And they’ve already got that whole slave thing not going in their favor so.

I personally feel very uncomfortable with myself, and I don’t feel uncomfortable with myself when I’m acting. I don’t know how to be in normal situations. I don’t ever leave the house. And yet acting, for some reason, feels very comfortable. I don’t know why, but it’s like sanctioned “being”.

I just think taking Blue Beetle and Static out of the Titans at the same time sends a message, intended or otherwise.
